Medina Personal Bankruptcy Lawyer
Bankruptcy is not an admission of financial failure. It is, in fact an expression of your willingness to take control of your financial future in a very proactive way. It is important, however, to have an experienced attorney at your side who will work diligently on your behalf as you plan for a brighter future.
At the law firm of Ronald R. Stanley, LLC Attorneys at Law, we are committed to giving you the information you need about bankruptcy so you can make your decisions confidently. Attorney Ronald R. Stanley has more than 40 years of experience guiding a variety of Ohio individuals as they navigate the Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy process.
Chapter 7 Vs. Chapter 13
Chapter 7 bankruptcy is often used interchangeably with the word liquidation. You will release all of your unsecured debt, meaning debt that is not attached to any form of collateral. After which, you will able to start to plan for a more financially supported future. Certain forms of debt cannot be discharged, including taxes, student loans, child or spousal support, and more.
Chapter 13 bankruptcy is a reorganization plan. Instead of discharging your debt, a payment plan will be developed for you. This is required for individuals who have filed for a Chapter 7 within the past eight years, or whose incomes exceed the minimum requirements.
Our lawyer will help you determine which path is best for you. We understand how stressful and overwhelming this process can be for our clients, so we are dedicated to giving you the personalized attention and care you deserve.
